CALIFORNIA LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

The Honorable Greg Wallis, Assemblyman AD-47

Greg Wallis is proud to be running to represent the 47th Assembly District. As a third generation Californian, he believes that our state should be the land of economic opportunity and social mobility. Greg was raised with a firm belief in service and has spent his formative years working on behalf of his community. As both a youth sports coach and leader in his church, he knew his calling was a life of service. Greg pursued a career in government because he believed it was and still is the most effective way to help the most people. Recently, he and his high school sweetheart, now wife, Desiree, have seen too many of their friends and family leave California due to the high cost of living and lack of economic opportunity.

Greg’s core beliefs, namely the importance of hard work, independence, and perseverance, reflect the California mindset. In Greg’s professional career, he has been involved in every aspect of crafting public policy, from renewable energy to sustainable water. He continues to pursue educational excellence and policy efforts to make healthcare more accessible and affordable. This work eventually led him to the Coachella Valley, where he and his wife fell in love with the community and decided to start their life together there.
As the Chief District Advisor to our local Assemblyman, Greg has seen firsthand how badly the pandemic has affected the lives of our neighbors. Greg and his team have worked tirelessly to navigate the labyrinth of government bureaucracy to deliver real results for our community. Greg is running to represent the 47th Assembly District because he believes California deserves better. By focusing on affordability, opportunity, and cutting-edge technology & systems, Greg is confident he can help our region rise to the level of innovation California is known for.

Greg and Desiree live in Bermuda Dunes with their two dogs, Gunner and Harley. They hope they can continue to grow their family and bring more friends to the district as it is truly the best place in California to live and raise a family.
