Our Vision, Mission & Values…

The Lincoln Club of the Coachella Valley’s vision is a region where taxes are low, government is right-sized and accountable, regulations are reasonable, children receive a world-class education, and the rule of law is enforced.

Our mission is to advance free market principles and ideas by recruiting, mentoring and supporting quality candidates that reflect our commitment to responsive public policy, the expansion of economic opportunity, and an enhanced quality of life throughout the Coachella Valley.

We bring value to our members and the community by our candidate endorsement process and candidate forums and provide access to elected leaders, policy experts, and political thinkers through our monthly lunches, receptions, and special events.

Our Tax ID number is 91-2068018.

Where we come from…

The Lincoln Club of Coachella Valley was founded in 1994 through the efforts of Dick Oliphant, Senator Jim Brulte (Ret.), and the Honorable Sonny Bono. President Gerald R. Ford, 38th President of the United States, is the Club’s Honorary Founding Chairman. President Ford supported the Club’s activities when he and Mrs. Ford were residents of Rancho Mirage.

The first Lincoln Club was founded in Orange County in 1962 by a group of California Republican businesspeople who came together and pooled their resources to support high-quality candidates in local, state, and national elections. This was in response to a continued lack of quality candidates where significant money was raised on elections only to see disappointing results. Lincoln Clubs have been established throughout the state, committed to educating its members and seeking out and supporting highly qualified candidates to run for political office.
