Brian Calle is Publisher and CEO of the L.A. Weekly. He is also a professor at the Chapman University School of Communication and Editor-in-Chief of CalWatchdog.com. Prior, Brian was Opinion Editor of the Southern California News Group, overseeing editorial content for its 11 newspapers and websites including the Los Angeles Daily News, Orange County Register, Riverside Press-Enterprise, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, San Bernardino Sun and Redlands Daily Facts.
Brian served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Sally Ride Science where he worked under Astronaut and CEO Sally Ride. He was the co-host of Fox 11’s “You Decide: SoCal” weekly news broadcast as well as host of the Catch-Up daily radio show on KABC. He has worked as V Pres. of the Claremont Institute; a congressional aide in the U.S. House of Representatives; and has also taught at Cal State University, Los Angeles and Cal State University, Fullerton.
Brian holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communications and Political Science from the University of Southern California and California State University, Los Angeles, and is an emeritus member of the Board of Governors for USC.
John Phillips is a top rated KABC Talk Radio co-host. He is known for his cutting edge humor, quick wit and astute observations about politics, politicians and the political machine behind the scenes. As a keen political analyst, John has appeared numerous times on CNN, Fox News, Fox-11’s Good Day L.A., and has often filled in for the legendary Larry King as host of PoliticKing and others. John regularly writes a column for the So Calif News Group (Orange Co Register, Press Enterprise, San Bernardino Sun, etc.)
John is an unapologetic Republican supporting President Trump. He studied political science at Cal State Fullerton where he graduated magna cum laude. John also studied American politics at Claremont Graduate School.
